Day Zero: Update

I originally intended to follow the Day Zero ‘guideline’ for blogging, because it was super convenient to have a template for what to cover. Yet, it became too difficult to keep up with it daily and to adhere to exactly what it entailed.

So I’m happy to report that I know myself well enough that I’d be incapable of following any directives. Shocking.

If you’re a male, you’ve definitely experienced this situation above. I mean, right? Guess where I found it though? On a female’s blog.

And my favorite, mainly because I love .gif files. Do you see her throwing it back so hard like that? Might be one of my now favorite gif files.

Wow, this one will be easy. I don’t read. I hate reading. I checked out Guns, Germs and Steel about 3 times and I have yet to crack more than 50 pages into it. If it’s not assigned reading for high school, I didn’t do it. And even if it was assigned, chances are that I skimmed, cliff noted or found someone to tell me what I needed to know.

And as for what I do in college: I take classes that don’t have books on the syllabus. I’ve read maybe 3 full books in college total, and I’m sure that’s not even true. I’ve read chapters of things here and there, and maybe most of a coursepack. Yup, admission: I hate reading.

One minor exception: textbooks. I could read high school science textbooks for pleasure anyday. And sometimes a history textbook will mildly interest me. But to stay with what I’ve said I’d do as a part of this “Day Zero” thing….

So this is something I found online via Tumblr, and I’m going to start doing this for the entire month. I’ve covered some of this already, but the idea itself just seems cool. Feel free to post relevant things in response to my posts on these days.

  • This makes me laugh so hard. I love how children’s cartoons are now subconsciously speaking a language of adults.

Here’s a hint if you can’t figure this out.

This new series “Stolen from Tumblr” will include things I’ve swiped from Tumblr.

The backstory is quite interesting, the photoblog I swipe these from belong to a girl that I was friends with Sophomore until everything fell apart. Story of my life these days, it seems. Anyway, she stopped talking to me over a grade from a group project (Group Projects: DNW). Anywho, I randomly found her blog and I love it. Definitely don’t love her personality or how she makes me feel with the ultimate death look, but yeah.
